I’m Stephanne Alfaro — most people call me Steph. I’m an SEO specialist and virtual assistant based in Cebu, Philippines, with a background in content strategy, link building, and digital marketing operations.
From Psychology Graduate to SEO Specialist
I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Cebu Normal University in 2023 — which might seem like an unusual path into SEO. But understanding how people think, what they’re looking for, and why they click on certain things? That’s actually the foundation of great search engine optimization.
I started my digital career in 2020 as a freelance SEO blog writer and virtual assistant. Over the next 3 years, I wrote and optimized over 1,000 blog articles for clients in the US, managed link-building campaigns, built and maintained 20+ SOPs for content teams, and directed a remote team of 5+ writers — all while learning the craft of SEO from the inside out.
From there, I expanded into marketing operations, designing email campaigns, building automated workflows, and managing digital assets for wellness coaches and e-commerce brands. More recently, I served as a Studio Editorial Assistant at Hinkler (via Smartsourcing), coordinating high-volume creative projects and maintaining quality control across departments.
All of that experience feeds into the SEO work I do today — strategic, detail-oriented, and built around what actually moves the needle.

When I’m not optimizing content or digging into keyword data, you can find me at the sports center — I play pickleball, badminton, and volleyball. Otherwise, I’m out running at the park or walking my five cats. Yes, five.
I’m based in Cebu, Philippines, and work with clients remotely across different time zones. I hold a C1 Advanced English level and communicate clearly and professionally in all client interactions.
